Quick Facts

  • Agentforce Operations cuts process cycle times by up to 70% and eliminates 80% of manual data entry tasks
  • Platform includes over 30 pre-built workflows for immediate deployment across inventory, onboarding, and compliance processes
  • Built on Salesforce’s October 2025 acquisition of Regrello, targeting back-office automation market projected to reach $18.09 billion in 2025

Salesforce launched Agentforce Operations on April 29 to address a critical gap in enterprise AI adoption. The platform automates back-office tasks like inventory management, onboarding, and compliance checks through AI agents that work across disconnected systems.

The solution tackles a fundamental problem facing enterprise AI teams. Current workflows break when AI agents attempt to execute processes originally designed for human judgment and institutional memory.

“Enterprise AI teams are hitting a wall — not because their models can’t reason, but because the workflows underneath them were never built for agents,” according to the announcement. Tasks fail and handoffs break as organizations push agents deeper into back-office systems.

Agentforce Operations promises significant efficiency gains. The platform can reduce process cycle times by 50-70% and cut manual data entry by up to 80%. Specialized back-office agents perform work autonomously across systems from email to ERP platforms.

“Agentforce Operations is us tackling the back office,” Senior Vice President of Product Marketing Sanjna Parulekar told SiliconANGLE. She described the target as “the boring stuff that is a complete time suck” — the manual, repetitive work that clogs business operations.

The platform launches with over 30 pre-configured workflows for rapid deployment. These include invoice auditing, employee onboarding, and purchase order rescheduling processes. Additional workflows will be added in coming months.

What differentiates Agentforce Operations from legacy workflow automation is its approach to decision-making. The system directs agents rather than relying on agents to decide next steps. This eliminates a common failure point in enterprise AI deployments.

The platform builds on Salesforce’s acquisition of Regrello, completed in October 2025. Regrello specialized in turning data into workflows for supply-chain automation before the acquisition.

“We founded Regrello to eliminate the friction in enterprise work,” said Aman Naimat, CEO of Regrello. “Joining Salesforce gives us the reach and platform to bring process automation to more organizations.”

The launch addresses a significant market opportunity. The Intelligent Process Automation market is projected to grow from $16.03 billion in 2024 to $18.09 billion in 2025, reflecting a 12.9% compound annual growth rate.

Enterprise AI adoption has struggled with scaling challenges. McKinsey research found two-thirds of organizations had not begun scaling AI across the enterprise. MIT research showed 95% of enterprise AI pilots fail to scale, with only 5% delivering measurable profit impact.

Broader ecosystem integration with Salesforce Flow, the company’s no-code automation tool, is expected to enter beta in May 2026. This will expand the platform’s reach into more enterprise systems and accelerate deployment timelines.
