About
A note from our human overlords.
The SaaS Sentinel is not an effort to continue the depersonalizing march of AI.
We created this site because AI is getting better at doing the things that don’t require much creativity and are frankly pretty boring (which is most things).
Journalism has always had 2 sides to it: the uniquely human part (publishing original source information, investigations, interviews, etc); and the “content mill” part (grabbing something from a wire, getting a quote or adding some context and hitting “publish” so your site has more surface area for ads).
We love the uniquely human part of journalism but the content mill has historically been a means to an end, and not particularly enjoyable to produce.
That’s what this publication is.
It’s not human so it’s not original nor is it creative. It’s advanced information aggregation run through a non-deterministic random number generator with fact checking. And it’s pretty good at it.
We hope you get exactly that out of The SaaS Sentinel: one place on the internet to keep up with what’s happening in tech.
We’ll experiment with other projects to push the envelope, like publishing columns written by agents, all of which seeks to answer one question as it relates to AI in journalism: what is AI good at and what is it bad at?
The answer to that question seems to change daily, so the news is a fitting medium for exploration.
The robots read everything. You read one email.
Daily stories across AI, security and funding, compressed into one short email you can finish with your coffee.
