MazeBolt Launches VectorAI to Test Defenses Against AI-Generated DDoS Attacks

Cybersecurity firm MazeBolt launched RADAR VectorAI, a new platform designed to test enterprise defenses against AI-generated distributed denial of service attacks. The announcement comes as organizations face an unprecedented surge in DDoS threats powered by artificial intelligence.

Network DDoS attacks jumped 168% in 2025, while web DDoS attacks grew 101%, according to MazeBolt research. The company’s survey of 300 CISOs and senior security leaders in banking and financial services revealed critical gaps in defense testing. 86% of enterprises test their DDoS protections only once per year or less, despite 42% reporting severe or extensive damage from recent attacks.

“In an era of AI-driven attacks, organizations are no longer failing due to a lack of protection,” said Matthew Andriani, CEO and founder of MazeBolt. “They suffer because they lack the specific vulnerability data to fine-tune their specific defenses.”

The VectorAI platform builds on MazeBolt’s existing RADAR technology, which uses patented non-disruptive simulations to test thousands of attack vectors across OSI layers 3, 4, and 7. The system incorporates SmartCycle, an AI-powered engine that prioritizes attack vectors most likely to breach specific environments.

Traditional red team exercises identify less than 1% of DDoS vulnerabilities, while RADAR covers 100% of an organization’s attack surface through continuous testing. The platform runs over 100,000 hours of attack simulations annually and now supports more than 150 attack vectors.

AI dramatically accelerates threat development, reducing vulnerability identification from weeks to minutes. Emerging AI models enable attackers to analyze large datasets in real time, identifying weak points across infrastructure at machine speed.

MazeBolt has partnered with Microsoft Azure and F5 to integrate its testing capabilities. The company helped one financial services provider reduce DDoS exposure from 50% to 15% within 60 days, while a global payment provider cut risk from 48% to 2%.

“We’re at a tipping point where any enterprise investing in top-tier DDoS capabilities can adopt continuous testing to push their automated resilience from approximately 70% to over 99% for a small, incremental cost,” Andriani said.
