“In 2026, the workplace agents that gain the most traction will be the ones that can work alongside multiple people as a team,” said Matt Martin, CEO of Clockwise.

The transformation moves beyond productivity gains. Companies redesign workflows and team structures. The World Economic Forum forecasts 69 million new roles created by 2027 while 83 million face displacement.

Organizations transition from the “Copilot era” to the “Agentic era.” Traditional human typing with AI suggestions gives way to autonomous systems handling complete development tasks.
