- Blitzy raised $200 million at a $1.4 billion valuation, led by Northzone with participation from PSG, Battery Ventures, and others
- The platform achieved a record-breaking 66.5% score on SWE-Bench Pro, placing it among top autonomous coding tools
- Company serves dozens of Global 2000 enterprises across 10 industries and has doubled headcount in six months
Cambridge-based Blitzy announced a $200 million funding round at a $1.4 billion valuation, marking one of the largest raises in the autonomous coding category. The company has now raised more than $204.4 million in total funding since its 2023 founding.
Northzone led the round with new investors including PSG, Battery Ventures, Jump Capital, Morgan Creek Digital, and Defiant. Existing investors Flybridge, Link Ventures, NFX, Picus Capital, and Venture Guides also participated, along with strategic investments from Liberty Mutual Strategic Ventures, Erie Strategic Ventures, and BAL Ventures.
Blitzy’s platform differentiates itself from traditional coding copilots through sophisticated agent orchestration. The system reverse engineers existing environments and builds dynamic knowledge graphs of enterprise codebases, then coordinates thousands of agents in parallel for weeks of uninterrupted development work.
The company achieved a 66.5% score on SWE-Bench Pro, an independent benchmark for autonomous software development capabilities. This performance trails only Claude Mythos Preview’s 77.8% score, placing Blitzy among the top performers in the category.
“This financing is strong validation of our platform and underscores the pressing need for a more autonomous and rigorous approach to autonomous software development in the enterprise,” said CEO Brian Elliott, a former Army Ranger who co-founded the company with NVIDIA Master Inventor Sid Pardeshi.
The platform handles large-scale enterprise codebases spanning 1 million to 100 million lines of code and can autonomously execute multi-month development projects. Blitzy reports driving 5x engineering velocity improvements for some clients.
Blitzy serves Global 2000 enterprises across 10 industries and has more than doubled its headcount over the past six months. The company plans to use the new capital to expand its research team and scale go-to-market operations, with particular focus on regulated sectors including government, financial services, and insurance.
The funding comes as the AI coding tools sector experiences explosive growth. 92% of US developers now use AI coding tools daily, and 41% of all code written globally is AI-generated. The broader vibe coding market reached $4.7 billion in 2026.
Blitzy’s valuation reflects the competitive landscape in autonomous coding. Cursor is reportedly raising at least $2 billion at a pre-money valuation exceeding $50 billion, while Swedish startup Lovable raised $330 million in December at a $6.6 billion valuation.
“Blitzy has created a truly paradigm-shifting product in one of the largest markets in the world: Autonomous AI Coding,” said Sanjot Malhi, Partner at Northzone. “They have meaningfully shifted outcomes for several Fortune 500 enterprises.”
