Quick Facts
- Salesforce launched AIforce, an agentic interface layer that delivers Salesforce capabilities natively inside Claude, Slack, and other AI tools.
- Koa, Salesforce’s first CRM reasoning model built on NVIDIA Nemotron, matches or exceeds leading model performance on CRM tasks with three times fewer errors.
- Agentforce ARR surpassed $1.5 billion in Q2 FY2027, up more than 240% year-over-year, with combined Agentforce and Data Cloud AI ARR reaching nearly $3.9 billion.
Salesforce used Dreamforce 2026 in San Francisco to signal a fundamental shift in how it expects customers to use its platform. The company’s next growth bet is on AI agents doing work inside tools users already operate, rather than requiring them to log into Salesforce itself.
CEO Marc Benioff framed the moment as another step in a long chain of interface revolutions, from command line to GUI, web, mobile, and now AI. Patrick Stokes, Salesforce’s new President of Applications and Marketing, put it plainly: “Other companies think their product is the UI. That’s not what we think.”
AIforce: One Platform, Many Surfaces
The headline product is AIforce, a new agentic interface layer that unites Claudeforce, Slackforce, and Agentforce. It allows Salesforce data, workflows, and permissions to render natively inside Claude, Slack, or other authorized tools.
The underlying architecture relies on Headless 360, which gives AI agents and code direct access to Data Cloud, Customer 360, Agentforce, and Slack through APIs and more than 60 MCP tools, bypassing the traditional browser interface. Salesforce is positioning the Lightning UI as one access point, not the only one.
AI agents active on Slack have grown 300% since January 2026. Slackforce and a new Slack Code tool for collaborative coding were also announced at the event.
Koa: A CRM-Native Reasoning Model
Salesforce and NVIDIA announced Koa, Salesforce’s first purpose-built CRM reasoning model. It was post-trained on NVIDIA Nemotron 3 Super using a proprietary synthetic dataset built on nearly three decades of CRM deployment data spanning more than 14 industries. Salesforce stated no customer data was used in training and that it controls the model weights and runs inference within its own trust boundary.
On Salesforce’s internal CRM benchmark, which covers tasks such as updating an opportunity, routing a support case, and scheduling follow-ups, Koa matches or exceeds leading third-party model performance with three times fewer errors. Salesforce says Koa is also more cost-efficient per task than routing the same work to Claude or ChatGPT.
Early pilots are underway at 1-800Accountant, Formula 1, and UChicago Medicine. Salesforce described the model as being in its “early innings.”
Prebuilt Agents and Partnership Expansions
Salesforce released seven prebuilt Agentforce agents for common enterprise use cases, including Casey for customer support and Fin for cross-channel engagement. The goal is to let organizations start with role-specific agents and configure them around their own data, policies, and workflows rather than building from scratch.
The company also announced that Salesforce in Claude is now in beta for all customers, Gemini is generally available in the Agentforce Reasoning Engine, and Agentforce Coworker is available to all customers. Expanded partnerships with AWS, Google Cloud, and OpenAI were also confirmed. Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei appeared at Dreamforce to discuss Claude Cowork, which integrates with both Salesforce and Slack.
Financial Picture
Salesforce reported Q2 FY2027 revenue of $11.35 billion, up 11% year-over-year and ahead of the Wall Street consensus of $11.32 billion. Agentforce ARR crossed $1.5 billion, up more than 240% year-over-year. The combined ARR from Agentforce and Data Cloud AI products reached nearly $3.9 billion.
The company’s strategy is clear: make the platform accessible wherever work happens, price AI efficiency into the model through Koa, and use prebuilt agents to lower the barrier for new deployments. Whether customers will pay for agent volume at the scale Salesforce needs remains the open question heading into the second half of FY2027.
