The worst piece of marketing advice I’ve ever received
“Build it and they will come” is one of the worst pieces of marketing advice I’ve ever received.
Why?
Because it’s never been easier to start a SaaS business in today’s market. I’ve lost track of how many new AI tools and low-code solutions I’ve seen enter the marketplace in the past few years.
And I’m not saying these businesses are inherently bad—I’m sure there are countless founders and investors who have done well with these kinds of companies.
But you can’t create a vertical SaaS solution that’s cobbled together with a few automations and expect it to start cash-flowing right out the gate…
…unless you have a proven marketing playbook to put it in front of the right audience.
And I’m not just talking about getting listed on G2 and running a few paid Ads. I’m talking about the same marketing playbook my team has used to build tech companies worth over $8 billion.
What does that playbook include, exactly?
Nailing your niche (audience, message, market)
Turning content into winning campaigns
Understanding pipeline marketing vs lead gen
How to improve conversion rates
How to build sales and marketing interlock
Crafting a killer PR strategy
How to create a high performing website
This isn't theory, it's real-world know-how.
And now, my team at GOTO Market Institute is giving you access to this playbook that’s already helped countless marketing leaders turn their marketing strategy into real revenue.
Like Andy Hurt, CMO of Cobalt Iron, A SaaS company in the Cybersecurity space:
GOTO Market Institute masterclasses are nothing short of brilliant. Their unique program has enhanced my strategic thinking around our biggest marketing challenges and improved the success of our go-to-market initiatives.
Who it's for?
SaaS business leaders looking to boost their marketing strategy.
Marketing professionals seeking to enhance their team's performance.
Entrepreneurs wanting to scale their marketing efforts for substantial revenue growth.
Who it's not for…
This course might not be the best fit four if:
You don’t have at least 5 hours a week to dedicate to learning and implementing new strategies.
You’re not ready to make data-driven decisions to improve your marketing efforts.
You’re already exceeding your revenue targets every year
These are the same tools, templates, and strategies that have helped seasoned marketers drive multi-million and billion-dollar exits.
Ready to transform your marketing strategy?
The masterclasses are great, the templates are incredibly useful, and the entire program is a goldmine for anyone looking to supercharge their marketing efforts. I highly recommend GOTO Market Institute's marketing training!
P.S. We understand that investing in your team’s professional development is a big decision.
If you’re not quite ready to overhaul your team’s marketing strategy, we recommend you start with our 7-day free trial.
This will give you access to the same tools, templates, and strategies that have helped build and sell 7 companies throughout the course of my career as a marketing leader.
To your success,
Steven Mark Kahan, Co-founder Chief Training Officer of GOTO Market Institute
